A Space for Connection and Opportunity

Located in the heart of a bustling high street in Slemani, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, the Hope Hub is more than just a coffee shop. It is a vibrant community center designed to foster creativity, conversation, and career beginnings.

A Training Ground for the Future
The Hope Hub was envisioned as a practical “classroom” for our Apprenticeship Programme. It provides a safe, supportive environment for young people transitioning out of the care system to gain professional experience, learn the art of hospitality, and build the confidence they need for independent life.

A Hub for the Local Community
While the Hub serves as a training ground, it is also a gift to the city of Slemani. We’ve listened to our neighbors to create a space that meets local needs: 

  • The Language Café
    Many locals have studied English to a high level but lack the opportunity to use it. Our Language Café allows people to practice their conversational skills over a world-class cup of coffee.
  • A Gallery for Local Artists
    One of our most striking features is our “Artist Wall.” It keeps the Hub bright and colorful while providing local creators with a high-traffic space to showcase and sell their work.
  • Study & Workspaces
    With dedicated workstations and high-speed internet, we provide a quiet, productive environment for students and professionals to focus.
  • Family-Friendly Atmosphere
    We know how important it is for parents to find a space where they can socialize while their children play safely. Our dedicated children’s play area makes the Hub a home for all ages.

The Journey Ahead

As our newest project, the Hope Hub is in an exciting formative phase. Our team is constantly dreaming up new ways to serve, with plans for book clubs, art workshops, and cultural events already in motion.

The Hub is proof that a simple cup of coffee can be a catalyst for restoration and community growth.
